When ever you say something like “Where are you?”, you DONT have to put “at” at the end of it. it is redundant and makes me think less of you. This was a conversation i heard recently between two guys in an elevator
Guy 1: Where were you at last night
Guy 2: I was at (insert place) where were you at
Guy 1: Oh i was at (insert place), next time let me know where you are at so i can tell you were i am at and we can meet up.
Guy 2: Sweet bro, lets skip english and go get crunk
Guy 1: Where’s the bar at?
Ok so i made up hte last two things but still, you dont need to say “where are you at”. I dont run around saying things like “How are you Jim person” or “How was the movie film”. Bottom line just dont do it.
I Stumbledupon (i dont know if thats the correct past tense of stumbleupon) a funny movie review website called cranky movie reviews. Here is a sample from the movie Bride Wars with kate hudson and anne hatahway.
“I would say that there are no likable characters in this movie, but the fact is that there ARE no characters in this movie. None. Every line of dialogue and every action is in direct service to the plot. It would have lost nothing in translation if everyone had been replaced with cardboard cutouts and The Muppets.”
So i was helping my friend christy with a computer problem, and i was like well lets screen share and ill fix it fast. she had no idea what that was and after fixing her problem, she wanted to share my screen. she proceeded to open up Word and write a story about my first day of school, or at least what she thought it was going to be like. And this is what she wrote…
Chase’s First Day of Class Journal:
January 20, 2009
Today I started school. Again. It is the 37th time I have had a first day of school and by far the best. First, I went to starbizzle and ordered my Venti Skinny Chai Cinnamon Latte with a dollop of whip and caramel drizzle. Yummmmmmmmmm. I drank it in record time!! Next, I walked to my first class where I sat by “it”. Yeah, that’s right…”it”. Chicago will be so much fun this weekend! I invited all of my friends, but I don’t think any of them are coming. ☹ sad face. After I went to one class, I went to six more because I am in the gifted program. Then, I went to the rec center for the first time since I have beena student at Mizzou. My biceps are getting huge! Which is highly necessary to be a keyboard player. Sometimes when I sit in class I draw tiny pictures of people that I think are highly attractive. I draw them tiny because I don’t want anyone to know that I am thinking of the teachers inappropriately. This morning I started my diet – Luna bars and pomegranate juice. Luna bars are supposed to be for women, but I don’t mind. Whatever is good for them is good for me too! After classes and working out, I went to PetCo (where the pets go) and I bought a puppy at the puppy sale! Her name is violet and I love her with all my heart. I even wrote her a song and I entitled it “Puppy love” by Chase Clettenberg. The best part of the day though came at night…..Scouts played a show at Mizzou Arena! We opened for Sir Elton John, and then he gave us kisses. He even let us do our own rendition of “Candle in the wind!”. We changed the lyrics from “and it seems to me you lived your life, like a candle in the wind” to “and it creeps me out, that you and I, went to vegas for the night. And neither knew what would come when the sun rose again…….??????” Call me the MUSIC KING!!!!! Man, I am f***ing exhausted!!!!!!!!! My eyes are burning from all the weed in the room and all I wish I had right now was a bottle of Andres. Damn. I guess I should go help my illegitimate child with her homework now…she has been yelling for me to come upstairs from the corner, dark room for about an hour and I just yell, “SHUT UP JAWANDISHKA!” Oh life…..I have so many responsibilities now that I fathered a child. And that ends my first day of classes, on the 37th day of it’s occurrence. It is bittersweet, like a symphony. (cue the violin).
Until tomorrow (Im sure you will be waiting on the edge of your footstool!),
My Houston friends will know what I’m talking about, Carousel Shy is a band i used to play shows with in Houston, and they were good friends of mine. And i still listen to their album like once a month and today was one of those days, so i decided to put up one of them up, and maybe some people from Houston will get all nostalgic like i do. I’m pretty sure the song is called “Square Dance” either way its good.
I know andy hull has been taking over this blog lately, but its just what ive been listening to. This is a live video of a song that I assume will be on the new album “Mean Everything to Nothing”. I can’t wait til it ocmes out.
Scrubs came back last night, i missed it so im watching it online right now. Good news is, its funny. Aziz Ansari is an intern, which is hilarious. And Courtney cox is pretty funny so far. So it looks like my day will consist of Scrubs and scrabble via facebook with my arch enemy Lucas Larson.
woke up on taylors couch, went to waffle house (not my favorite but she really wanted it), got my windshield replaced, and now im sitting watching LOST on sci fi channel, im a piece of shit. Although not quite as bad as this guy…
Columbia is dead. I didnt even know it was friday until i got to work. All my days are all jumbled. New years was good, spent it with justin, ryan, taylor, at karens house with some other twitter friends. It was a good time playing Rock Band. Then yesterday went to chris and sams for black eyed peas and corn bread and then it wasone of those nights where i didnt plan on drinking but then I ended up drinking a bottle of wine while playing tony hawk with kyle. Definitely takin it easy tonight lol
